Jamall Emmers vs. Lerryan Douglas

UFC Fight Night · August 22, 2026 · Golden 1 Center

What kind of fight is this?Veteran gatekeeper vs. surging prospectFinish likelihood: Very High

Douglas simply does not do decisions lately; his fights end early one way or another. If he lands clean in the opening five minutes, Emmers is in the kind of danger that ended his night against Landwehr. The flip side is that nobody has dragged Douglas into deep water at the UFC level, and Emmers has the range, wrestling, and experience to make round three miserable for a fast starter. Either Douglas adds another highlight-reel knockout or Emmers turns it into a grinding lesson, but a finish is the strong expectation here.

This is a textbook prospect test: a surging finisher against a durable, experienced gatekeeper. Douglas has won six in a row, almost all by knockout, and his last two fights lasted a combined four minutes. Emmers is the far more proven commodity with 30 pro fights and wins over solid UFC competition, but he has been stopped by heavy hitters before, including a first-round knockout loss to Nate Landwehr in 2024. Douglas's blistering early pace against Emmers's veteran composure is the whole fight, and note that Douglas's career stats come from a tiny UFC sample of about two minutes of cage time.

Jamall Emmers

Pretty Boy

Jamall Emmers is a 37-year-old featherweight veteran who has been fighting professionally since 2012 and in the UFC since 2020. A long, athletic kickboxer with a 74-inch reach and underrated wrestling, he wins with rangy striking and smart fight management. With 22 wins across 30 pro fights, he is the classic tough out for any rising contender.

Lerryan Douglas

Gunslinger

Lerryan 'Gunslinger' Douglas is a Brazilian knockout artist from Paranagua who now trains out of Huntington Beach, California with Cub Swanson's Bloodline Combat team. He won and unified the LFA featherweight title, earned his UFC contract with a 36-second knockout on Dana White's Contender Series, and then flattened veteran Julian Erosa in the first round of his March 2026 UFC debut. He has won six straight, and his UFC-level fights have averaged barely two minutes. A BJJ black belt and former freestyle wrestling champion in Brazil, he is far more than just a puncher, but the punching is what gets people's attention.
