Shanelle Dyer vs. Elise Reed

UFC Fight Night · August 22, 2026 · Golden 1 Center

What kind of fight is this?Rising Striker vs. VeteranFinish likelihood: High

Dyer has the pace, power and momentum, and Reed has historically struggled against physical pressure fighters. Reed's experience and Taekwondo-based movement could steal early rounds if she keeps the fight at range and stays out of the pocket. But Dyer's output tends to compound as fights go on, and Reed's durability is the biggest question mark in this matchup. Dyer by TKO in the middle rounds is the likeliest result.

Youth versus experience with a hometown wrinkle — Reed was born in Sacramento and fights at Golden 1 Center after a 15-month layoff. Dyer is eight years younger, throws nearly eight significant strikes per minute, and knocked out Ravena Oliveira in her UFC debut. Reed is the more measured technical striker, but she has been stopped in three of her five losses and is coming off a knockout defeat to Denise Gomes. If Reed cannot tie Dyer up or bank early rounds at range, the volume and power gap becomes a problem in a hurry.

Shanelle Dyer

The Nightmare

Shanelle 'The Nightmare' Dyer is a 25-year-old Londoner who fights out of Great Britain Top Team. She went unbeaten through PFL Europe and the European regional scene before dropping a decision on the 2025 Contender Series — and the UFC signed her anyway. She rewarded that faith with a second-round knockout of Ravena Oliveira in her March 2026 debut. Five of her seven wins are knockouts, and she throws heavy volume from the opening bell.
