Axel Sola
Sola is a French karate stylist from Nice who was ranked the No. 1 pound-for-pound amateur in the world by the IMMAF before turning pro. He went unbeaten through Brave CF and ARES FC, winning the ARES lightweight title and defending it before the UFC signed him in 2025. His Octagon debut was a statement — a third-round battering of Rhys McKee in front of a Paris crowd — before he dropped a hard-fought decision to Welsh veteran Mason Jones in a Fight of the Night war. Rangy for lightweight at six feet tall, he mixes slippery southpaw striking with vicious elbows and ground strikes once he gets on top.

“Marreta”
Bonfim, nicknamed 'Marreta' — Portuguese for sledgehammer — is a Brasília native and the older brother of UFC welterweight Gabriel Bonfim. He announced himself with one of the great UFC debuts in recent memory, knocking Terrance McKinney out cold with a flying knee at UFC 283 in Rio, capping a 13-fight win streak that stretched back to 2015. A slick, aggressive boxer-puncher with a 54 percent striking accuracy and a legitimate jiu-jitsu base, he has finished 13 of his 20 wins. But he arrives in Abu Dhabi in the toughest stretch of his career, having been stopped by strikes in back-to-back losses to Nazim Sadykhov and Chris Padilla.
